Raku Inoue turned to art to find balance and figure out his identity. In his self-discovery process, he spent many years experimenting, looking for the right media and tools that he could relate to. At first his creations predominantly sought to please his agents and clients, but when he stepped away from creating art to please others, he discovered a different medium. Using flowers as his tool and bugs as his inspiration, Raku was able to create a truly innovative and stunning style of art. Take a look:

All I can say is WOW! How did you ever come across this artist Carmen? My love (among many others) is INSECTS! Loved them since I was really small ... they fascinate me ... those tiny parts that make up their little bodies that work so perfectly together. I took a wall of my bedroom when I was about six and filled it with insects with labels and everything over many years. My mom hated it, but she let me do it because she knew I loved them.

Thanks for posting this. It has really made my day:)

Now I want one ... or all nine.

Thanks for your replies.Minque and Anton.

I was stung many times by ants, and the stings infected me, so I was afraid of insects.

But later on I learned to appreciate them, including the ants.

They bury their dead and I thought that they have a very organized kind of society, when I observed them doing it.

But I love butterflies and fireflies and moths and a whole bunch of them, and admire them a lot, now.

Carmen ... what do you think?

Nectar - 9 parts water & 1 part sugar

Oh, thanks, Minque, they are such beautiful images!

And I had never done a butterfly feeder, only hummingbird ones

Thanks for the instructions!
