I joined recently and I am still getting acquainted with the site. Found this forum and thought it would be good to introduce myself.
I'm a 39 year old nurse. When I was a child of younger than 7 I had my first magical experience that I still can not explain. It was either premonition of an impending car accident, or I caused it, I lean towards premonition. Either way it's unusual for a 7 year old to sit patiently by a window and await an outcome like that. Ever since then I have been opened to the possibilities that science can't explain. I was raised Baptist and soundly rejected Christianity by 17 and went searching for what felt right to my heart. I found Taoism and studied everything I could find. As my own personal philosophy began to come into focus, I did the soul searching required to realize that I hadn't lost faith in a higher power, just the church. So I began very tentatively and carefully reviewing Christianity with a fine tooth comb. That's when I found Gnostisim and information that was left out of the Bible. In fact a whole new view of Christ came into focus that felt different and right. Obviously I'm a visual and feeling person. I've had visions in dreams and premonitions my whole life. I haven't been able to ignore my connection to Christ, but I disagree with modern Christianity. Yet my own premonition has kept drawing me back to Jesus. One of my biggest criticisms of Christianity is that their own Bible tells them that none of them get it right. So why would I follow the blind? I've become determined to forge my OWN path of worship that incorporates the philosophies and beliefs I feel most comfortable with. It's very much a Universalist stance,, though I don't consider myself Unitarian, I visit them regularly. I don't really fit into any box but I appreciate philosophy in general and I enjoy studying different religion and faiths. I have found Shingon Buddhism and hope to expand my knowledge of it. I worship YHWH and Jesus Christ. I have reverence and work with: Saraswati/Benzaiten, Frigg, Hlinn, Odin, Baldr, Mimir Samael and my Kitsune friend, Kūki, (空気).
I recently got a Thoth tarot deck that I am excited to work with.
I'm into sigil work, chaos magick, Solomonic talisman magic, Angel work and Enochian studies, crystal work, Reiki/Chakra work, astral projection and mind magick. I stay on the lighter side. Most of my work is inwardly directed intentions. I've found self work that translates to the world from within through your own actions is much more effective and true to original intent. Besides all that I like cooking, art and music. I play several instruments and sing. I like to draw, paint and use oil pastels. I was a chef before getting into healthcare. I've worked everywhere from sandwich and pizza bars, the fry station on campus at the OCharleys after college SEC football games, fine Italian dining and all sorts of chain restaurants. I was a bit of a rambler back then, romaing from job to job. Recently I've also dabbled in jewelry making for my projects. My current projects are anointing oil, chaos oil and 4 theives vinegar. It is a 6 weeks project that I'm two weeks into. One of my past projects was to grow my own crystals in the forms of my own sigils using wax and crystal growth inhibiting strontium. The added effect of the crystals glowing under black light was a nice touch. I had varying success with the sigils forming correctly. I have ideas for improving the sigils shape in the future. Now I know it can be done. Eventually I am going to make an epoxy pyramid with my own living crystal sigils. So, now that I've rattled on about myself, I hope that gives kind of an idea of who I am and stuff I like. The only thing I want to make clear is that my love of Jesus doesn't cause me to restrict my love of anyone else, including Satan and demons. So if you love Satan, we share that in common. I don't want anyone to think that I will judge you or look down on anyone's beliefs because of mine.
Once you spend enough time, looking at time in 3 dimensions, it can get a little foggy about what comes first or last. I just trust it will be there when it needs to be. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I'm very glad to make your acquaintance, (probably again). I look forward to sharing more and learning. Hope this weekend has been good for you. I graduated Reiki I today! It was a very good weekend!

Question: Have you ever read the direct translation of The Lord's Prayer from Aramaic?
The famous one was translated to Greek and THEN English.
This is interesting:
O Birther! Father-Mother of the Cosmos, you create all that moves in light.
Unite our “I can” to yours, so that we walk as kings and queens with every creature.
Create in me a divine cooperation — from many selves, one voice, one action.
Grant what we need each day in bread and insight.
Forgive our hidden past, the secret shames, as we consistently forgive what others hide.
Deceived neither by the outer nor the inner — free us to walk your path with joy.
From you is born all ruling will, the power and life to do, the song that beautifies all from age to age it renews. Amen.
Here is where I found that:
I like this prayer better. Ty for sharing!

My upbringing was within the Catholic religion.
Then I was enchanted with Spiritism.
Today I don't go to any religious center and I don't follow anything concretely.
I like the paranormal, the general knowledge, I like all these people from the pagan sites for a long time.
My favorite hobby: Digital imaging.
Those are GORGEOUS!
