Congratulations to this group as you are featured for November!
Those are awesome Lorelie!
Thank you for that, Lorelie. I was wondering if this method of painting could be used to make wrapping paper. I think I would need to experiment with different weights and types of paper and see how that goes.
Thank you for showing us your artwork. I like the blue one best, it looks just like moving water. Very nice.
Thanks Linda they are fun and relatively simple. Just messy! lol
Lorelie, I love those.
Hi Karen, these I did on 8x10 inch canvas boards. Just started experimenting with this art form and didn't want to spend a bunch of money. You can DIY your pouring paint by mixing 1 part craft glue to 1 part paint and a tiny bit of water. I tried the DIY method first and didn't make it thin enough to cover the whole canvas. I found some inexpensive pouring medium at the store yesterday and they also have pre-mixed ready to pour paint but it's quite pricey. There are lots of How-To videos out on youtube if you think you would like to try it. If you go with just a bottle of the pouring medium or do the DIY I would recommend using cheap paint because this process is very experimental and a lot of paint can end up at the bottom of a box or whatever you are using to catch the paint. :)
What size are they? Is pouring paint water based, like a very thin acrylic paint?
