If we've learned anything recently, it's to breathe.  To stand still and take things in, including our Loved Ones, Nature, food, even our cup of coffee!

We are living in The Now, as the buzzing of that 'clock' has subsided for many. If not ~ maybe we can offer a sanctuary for a little while? A quiet, reflective spot in time.

Just Be sometimes?

Stop. Breathe. Catch a moment.

The World is beautiful. In the Now, not next week, or last month.

Right now at this very minute. So, breathe.

Kasey's DSP worker takes her for a walk for about an hour on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.  They average about 2 miles, it's so cute watching Carrie(DSP worker)teach her how to stretch after.

Yes, Elspeth, I homeschooled for about 6 months.  I didn't use a computer either.  I bought some booklets from the store, create worksheets myself, ahhh, the only trouble was cursive.  I had to review some of the letters, but I had my daughter to her grade level within a couple of months.  We went to the farmers market, she looked at fish for sale, she learned how to pick the best fish and veggies.  We kept a spider alive all winter, finding flies to feed it.  She learned math and some chemistry with cooking.  They don't really learn a lot in school.  We worked about an hour a day and I still caught her up.  You'd be surprised what you can teach with just day to day living and they don't even know they were learning.  Then I put her back in school and made the school do their jobs.  That was actually harder.

Here's hoping that some of those parents, and their offspring, take this time to make good memories. I remember the first few days of lockdown, with the moms ~ mostly ~ talking about their teaching plans for the first 'classes' on Monday. Roflmao..later that day many said they were expelling their kids, and going on strike. I'm seeing some fantastic times between parents and their kids. One lady in particular has started a blog and her boys are proper little gentlemen. Great sense of humor and respectful of their mom in particular~ they are all glowing. Such funny stories (memories).

Linda, you home-schooled didn't  you? I bet you've got some tales.
