If we've learned anything recently, it's to breathe.  To stand still and take things in, including our Loved Ones, Nature, food, even our cup of coffee!

We are living in The Now, as the buzzing of that 'clock' has subsided for many. If not ~ maybe we can offer a sanctuary for a little while? A quiet, reflective spot in time.

Just Be sometimes?

Stop. Breathe. Catch a moment.

The World is beautiful. In the Now, not next week, or last month.

Right now at this very minute. So, breathe.

Well, I have to go get some bits for hubby from the local shop..masked up ..

He's working nights atm and is sleeping now (peacefully I hope) bless him. He's such a good man. Matured like a fine wine. Or cheese...lmao

Mystic, it's a colouring app. I use it as a meditation tool. Lovely isn't it? It's a colour by numbers and I can switch my brain off for 10 minutes or so.

Hiw long were you in that band for?

When I worked in schools I was spread very thin. We did get a bad press for not teaching enough. I'm not making excuses. We had 30+ in a class..we found 28 enough with one teacher, and me teaching assistant. In our particular class we had 5 severe SEN kids. I had those. I worked 4 hours paid a day but worked from 8am until 4pm most days. The staff get it in the neck. We did our best but still got abused. That hurts coz we cared. We BY LAW had to teach to set subjects. In free time we had fun but were still teaching by example and the experiences we shared. It makes myhead hurt.  It's not the teachers/schools faults ~ it's the governments. I was bruised. Kicked. Punched. Head butted. And more. That was just the kids. I had a father come at me for taking offence over things that hadn't happened..the child put it right. I'm under 5ft. I was wearing pjs for a school charity event at the time. We are only human but people forget. NOW I'm seeing some parents who were abusive shocked. It's not easy. But imagine doing it with 30 kids. All different personalities. Some violent ( you cant always protect yourself at speed when other children need you to protect them ~ believe me)

I'm passionate about the way we were perceived.  By law we couldn't verbally defend ourselves. We had to take the verbal abuse. I went into schooling for the kids. I stuck it for the kids. I paid my own way through all of the courses and books (that's rare believe me) I lived and breathed those kids. It still wasn't enough.

Parents still talk to me. Kids hug me and call to me. I still love them. There's much more I could say, but I'm not allowed via the old job laws. Enough...Going to Be..if it kills me.

Just please remember teaching staff are human. They arent able to do more than allowed.

I heard that when you home school someone the student becomes very close to the teacher so they listen and follow each and every step. As the weeks go by they become so used to this type of learning plus all of the extra benefits like cooking, understanding the weather, first aid, etc. You do not learn the type of things that are essential to life. It is very interesting Linda on being a teacher. You have a good heart Linda!

Since the schools are closed my two younger nephews are falling behind in their school work. They just do not want to do it so my brother and his wife constantly battle with them to do the work. They will continue onward to their next school level while not learning what they need to know in their grades now. My nephews want and play their computer games for hours. This virus really screwed up these children in schooling and getting outside to play.
