"The Master allows things to happen.

She shapes events as they come.

She steps out of the way,

and lets the Tao speak for itself.

There is no greater illusion

than fear,

no greater wrong in preparing

to defend oneself,

no greater misfortune than having an enemy.

Whoever can see through all fear

will always be safe.

Without opening your door,

you can open your heart to the world.

Without looking out your window,

you can see the essence of the Tao.

The more you know,

the less you understand.

In the beginning, I started off too fast. I was impatient, and wanted results quickly - after all, I had been practically in a wheelchair, after a series of debilitating accidents at the workplace had rendered me incapable of doing much physical work, let alone bend over too quickly without dislocating my joints and ending up paralyzed in pain. I decided that it was finally time to do something about myself one afternoon, after I had to crawl to a mat on the floor and try to twist my spine back together again somehow-this took anywhere between 10 minutes and two hours at times - there's nothing like a nerve being trapped to let one understand the meaning of real agony:) , A friend had suggested Tai Chi to me so I thought, well, let me go onto YouTube and see what Tai Chi is all about. At first I thought that Tai Chi, being the basis of Kung Fu and other forms of martial arts, was only for people who wanted to fight. However, after scanning through many related videos and trial and errors, I found something that worked for me.

These 20 basic moves should be repeated every day  for genuine results. Don't try and learn and do everything you can in one go like I did at first! After two years or so, your sinews become like strong cords and hey presto, there's absolutely no more discomfort and any more collapsing on the floor.

After the two years is up, the 20 basic moves will have prepared your mind, spirit and body to advance further along the road of not-knowing, which I have been told is true knowledge.

Blessed Be )O(

and these are easy to do, thank you.

My pleasure, Linda! If you do them every day practice makes perfect :)

Love this! Way cooler looking than doing yoga. Still will not give up yoga but going to do this too.

Hi! It's really cool and I,m never looking back now :) I tried Yoga and  after trying out various routines I settled on a basic Kundalini Yoga sequence which I do as well - I don't think one has to be restricted. Tai Chi is great as it gets one to just flow smoothly, like water. There's no effort involved and no tension in the moves. I feel it's important to just get into a regular routine and never skip out on it, which is easy seeing as it doesn't take much time, so one can fit it in whenever it's convenient. I do the first lot in the morning to fire up the old pistons and then later on when I feel I,m flagging a bit. Enjoy!
