PEZ was first marketed as a compressed peppermint candy over 83 years ago in Vienna, Austria. The name PEZ was derived from the German word for peppermint... PfeffErminZ. Today, over 3 billion PEZ Candies are consumed annually in the U.S.A. alone.
With great tasting flavors and collectable dispensers, PEZ is more than just a candy... it's the pioneer of "interactive candy" that is both enjoyable to eat and fun to play with. PEZ Dispensers are a hot collectable for adults and children alike as well as being a staple and part of American pop culture. First time I hear about these candies, all the years that I have been missing them!
Every once in awhile I pick some up for my kids. And my kids are 25 and 27. lol They found out about them from watching "Pretender"
I think Pez is useless but seeing all the different kinds of dispensers is fun! I have had quite a few over the years and I get them for my son still if I see a unique one and he's 16 now.
it brings back fond memories.
Oh, well, I was not raised in the USA, and we did not have them in Cuba, for sure...
