It’s been over 3 years since we featured Paris-based artist Anastassia Elias with her toilet paper roll artworks, but this whole time the artist has been consistent with her work and recently even published a book titled Rouleaux. Anastassia creates her dioramas by cutting out tiny scenes from paper and installing them inside the paper roll.

“One day I looked at an empty roll and wondered if I can do something with it,”says the artist, who usually works in the fields of illustration.

“I cut the small paper shapes that I stick inside the toilet paper rolls. I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll. I need few hours to make one piece,” says Anastassia.

Totally adorable!

Thanks, Linda!

Carmen, I'm not sure I'd have the patience to make that.

Or the eyesight.

I am in the process of operating my cataracts, and now I can see how much I was not seeing before, LOL!

how are you doing, I've been worried.

Well, since it it is the first time I am operated on, I was very asfraid of it, but it is very simple, however, I just want for it to be over with, the second eye will be operated this Monday, two Mondays away from the first one.

I will be all right probably by the middle of November, or so I hope...

Nothing to worry about, I see such much more now, it is amazing how much we lose with these cataracts!

Keep me posted, please.  I'm glad it was successful and you can see better.  It's rather like getting glasses.  You don't realize how bad your eyes were, because it happens so slowly.
