The world we live in is in such fast pace often we are forced to hide and bottle the way we feel. It causes anger outbursts, it causes people being hurt and it causes trauma.

Many of us have experienced painful events in our lives that left us scarred deep inside. With an invisible pain no one knows anything about. On the outside seem perfectly fine and on the inside bleeding to death.

Shields and walls all around our hearts, masks on the face only to hide and protect that child inside, the little bit of whats left of ourselves after the world smashed it.

We all have pains and hurts most of us never talk about it, because we dont want to burdain others with our pain, we already feel like we are too much for people. Also when we do people dont understand and judge us and give the usual:

" You should go out more" and " its just in your head"

This is a safe space where we can ask for help and share what worked for us. So our pain is shared and we help others to soften theirs.

Here you can be yourself and you will not be judged, you can come for help or just to rant and get anything off your chest.

I've been struggling with my mental illness since half way through highschool. I didn't know it at the time until I did some inventory of my past. My journey didn't start though until I was 21. This was the second time I've been to a mental…Continue

No Lilly, they have been married for 12 years.  Now we only heard about it a year after they were married, from mom.  After that, anytime I asked how she was it was always, 'oh fine.'  So I don't think she was crazy about her.

So when she moved in the mother had to go???

we found out on our thankgiving call to his mom.  Yes, I make him at least do the family phone calls.  From his brother, we found out she has been there for 3 months.  I gleaned the rest from his wife, when she wrote me, sooo pissed off.  Well she should have her husband give better answers.

It's too bad about your mother-in-law, and as for your sister-in-law, what a piece of work she is!Yes, when you put an elder in a nursing home, the polit thing to do would be to let the entire family know. It's simple inconsiderate not to. I don't care what excuse she had, there's no excuse for her behavior, but that's what you get when you leave the letter writing to your wife, and don't care to send the letter yourself.

We found out Gary's mom has been in a Phys support/nursing home for 3 months and no one told us.  It was the subject of my last letter.  I was tired that day(meds)and absent-mindedly sent to it to Gary's brother along with my other emails, or maybe I did it on purpose, who knows.  My brother in laws wife took exception to it, and after a few other choice comments said, 'we didn't think you'd even care.'  You know, whether you get along or not, it's common courtesy to tell family members stuff like that.  Then she went on to say how she took care of her 'every day.'  Well, you know, you married a man who lived with his mum, and you moved in...what did you think would happen. She commented on how we only lived an hour away(if you drive like Mario Andretti)but never took into account we also drive a 12-year-old car, that just can't make trips longer then a half hour or so, or that I have an autistic daughter, yes, she is an adult, but things that are not on a regular schedule are still a challenge.  It also seems to me, hiring someone to come in a couple of days a week would be cheaper than a nursing home, I feel lke she's been thrown away, and yes she's 87 now, but gheese lousie, I feel like they threw her out...Happy Holidays.

I had a great Thanksgiving because I wrote that day, and the next day I finished just a few words short of 60K. The word goal was 50K. I find writing to be very therapeutic. If you feelow members aren't keeping a journal or diary, you should be. A physical book and pen are best.

Hey Lilly. Thanks for asking. Yesterday was a terribly American holiday - and while I'm not very proud to be of the USA, I do feel a profound sense of thanks for everything - for the whole universe and the fact that our little planet lives in it, the wonder of the whole thing. Thanksgiving is big meals on the one hand and family interplay on the other - I missed the big meal, but my massage therapist brought me fresh farm eggs and her own cherry pie the night before. The family in Seattle is still weird, but I guess that's what first-hand family dynamics are for.
How about you, Lilly? Enjoying cats and child? Sorry TI isn't full-on. Some of us can post pics and videos, but I still can't/ Love always- Sav
