I was in a coven for 10 years but in the last four years, I have been a Solitaire Witch. I find that being mostly alone I am able to delve deeper within and to explore from the chakras, kundalini, and Reiki.
I make my own tinctures and work with the plants... mostly in the summer. I have Belladonna that I use during my Dark Moon Rituals. You work with the spirits of the plants and roots to make a better connection to my higher-self.
Nature spirits often will channel tremendous amounts of power into the magic being performed. The best success in magick is on the inner planes and more subtle than such manifestations. This success involves beneficial changes in consciousness that last and helpful chains of synchronicity. In addition, working with Nature Spirits can also bring a deep sense of partnership with Nature, and bring new levels of attunement.
Have you worked with "residue" that takes on a life of its own? This process is very rare, but it can still happen unintentionally. More common, although still far and few between, are intentionally created energy constructs. These are sometimes called elementals by witches.
Another term for these is "astral construct," because they exist entirely in the non-physical realm that witches can work and adapt to. This construct is something that had no existence separate from the energy which makes it up.
So a Hedgewitch can use this construct in their practice. Such constructs are born of a continuous build-up of focused energy - either the energy of strong emotion or the equally potent energy of a person's intentionally directed will.
Thank you Mystic. That's an interesting post :-)
