Part of being a Jedi is learning to accept things the way they are and to stop fighting with them. This causes friction. It is much easier to go with the flow and allow things to unravel and standing back and acknowledging things may be out of your hands but the flow of the Force will smooth things out. This is much like comparing putting your problems into God’s hands and letting him take control. Same concept. If you were to say God created us than we are part of that creation and one with everything, so too is it conceptualized in the Force. For example, if you saw a tree with sap oozing out of it, that sap is the life Force of the tree just like our blood our DNA is the Life Force that keeps us alive. Though from a Christian view the reverence of Nature is looked down upon because in Christian tradition it is looked at as deifying Nature when in fact it is actually quite the opposite, it is realizing that nature too is part of creation and you spring from that same Force of creation, therefore, you are one in the same. Humans share %50 DNA with Bananas. We also share %98.8 DNA with Chimps, Cats have 90% of homologous genes with humans, 82% with dogs, 80% with cows, 69% with rats and 67% with mice. Do you see where I am going with this? We like to think of ourselves as separate from the animal kingdom but in reality, we are causing more friction by trying to separate ourselves from that of which we sprang from. I look out at the world and I don’t see an accident, I see design and purpose; I see manifestation and creation. And if you think we are any different from the mineral world too you might want to consider how many metals are actually in our DNA such as zinc, copper, chromium, iron, and manganese. All of these are needed for us to be healthy and strong though we only need them in small amounts. Look at how much your body is actually made up of water…Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. No, we are not separate from the natural world, nor the animal kingdom, we are very much a part of it as much as it is a part of us. So the next time you think that you are above the animal and plant kingdom just remember we all share the makeup of everything else that exists in our universe. Just go with the Flow and May the Force be with you always!
Sincerely, Solomon Skywalker
