What are your favorite recipes, do you have any that have been handed down through generations? I have cookbooks that I inherited from my grandma and the cookbook that my mom started out with when she married. It's dilapidated, but it still works. I believe it is a very old Fanny Farmer Cookbook. I started out with a Betty Crocker, that has long since flown the coop. My daughter's first cookbook was Rachel Ray. I figured they were easier recipes.

So, let's talk about our favorite cookbooks, recipes, anecdotes from cooking, or failed cooking, and everything else.

I plan to put in some pages for favorite cooking videos too, maybe even some of my own if I can figure out how.

If you have some ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.

I only have a couple of recipes from my grandma on my mom's side..I learned on my own how to cook by using old cookbooks. And from friends. My stepmom made the best Amish friendship bread...my mom is a good cook but I prefer the way she used to cook. I don't care for all the gluten free cooking.

I don't like gluten-free either, and so many out there think it's the 'in thing' to do. I have friends that have to cook like this, and they've all told me if they had a choice, they wouldn't be eating this way.
