Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
Updated: Myndpeace Has Now Left The Building. Thanks to all who contributed to my experience...both directly and otherwise.
And thanks also to Leila Raven for having provided this ethereal oasis.
Which spiritual path do you follow?
The teachings and sentiments of Seth, who was/is channeled by Jane Roberts from the early 1960's to the early 1980's. I have found Seth's teachings to be challenging - both spiritually and intellectually - refreshingly different from some other paths. The Seth Information vibration seems to resonate with me.
About Myself & My Interests...
I wear the costume of a tired old man with squeaky shoes who is exceedingly reclusive. Occasionally, I dare to venture "out into the world" - being afforded the anonymity of the Internet - but these sojourns are always short-lived. Fortunately, I always enjoy it when I find myself to be in my own company.
I subscribe to and apply "The Seth Information" channeled through Jane Roberts - as simple as that.
I am a collector of Native American artifacts, Day of the Dead Masks, and various mineral and crystal specimens; all the while having no particular favorites. One additional facet to my rather eclectic collection are several signed/autographed books from authors whom I have found to present a quite interesting, imaginative approach to interacting with their own version of "this world".
An aside: The photos I have placed for the viewing pleasure of fellow members here at the Temple Illuminatus are to serve one primary purpose: These images are presented to demonstrate the dedication of their respective creators to the many belief systems which abound within this particular version of physical reality...and nothing else is either intended or inferred. These various items are not available to be purchased...only admired and hopefully enjoyed from afar, so to speak. For me, they continue to present both unexpected and spontaneous opportunities for personal edification.
Up until 1998 or so I was an artist of sorts...creating works comprised of wildlife subjects which were of varying sizes and species. My technique was the use of various shades of polyurethane wood stains and inks applied to the wood etchings I felt compelled to achieve. I believe a four by four foot piece with a red wolf as the subject is the final etching I ever completely finished. A four by six foot stained wood etching of an American Bald Eagle which decorates one of my sanctum walls serves as a personal, pleasant [physical] reminder of those artistic adventures...a photo of which is also included.
The seemingly endless variety of imaginative systems of belief displayed by both individuals and groups within this kind of "reality" seem to be the very impetus which propels my own fascination with existence. By the way, please feel free to peruse my photos placed here at the Temple Illuminatus - they in themselves are quite revealing insofar as some of the bits and pieces of "my" world...
After [the apparent passage of] more than seven decades, I find myself in this NOW moment to be the latest addition to my collection of "relics", and am more of an "observer" of life's interaction. There are truly endless fields of activity to view, consider and contextualize into that which I both value and visualize as representing my "larger", collective awareness.
This event has now, for me, once again concluded...although I will drop in from time to time when I encounter an impulse to do so.
My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
Myself...through "listening" to my own implicate voice (this term "implicate" is borrowed from Dr. David Bohm...:))
