Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
I saw a picture of a wonderful outdoor kitchen, traced it back to you... and was hooked! I would love to join a community of like-minded people! I don't have many human interactions. My "life" and friends are all online, it seems. Not by my choice. I want to join this group and maybe share information and thoughts.
About Myself & My Interests..
I am almost 60 (2 more years), but I had my Croning a few years ago. I've had a lifetime of experiences that qualify me for Crone status, not the least of which includes surviving a life-threatening illness. I've gained a lot of insights into Life. I have several grandchildren, 6 of whom I have regular contact with. I am a biker with my own motorcycle. On days that I can't handle Life, I hop on my bike and go find some place to sit and be silent with Mom. (Mother Nature). I am an artist, and I sell a few pieces here and there, but by no means do I make enough to support myself.
My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
I have lived an eclectic lifestyle. I have dipped into several paths, none of which felt totally "right" until I sort of made up my own Path. Raymond Buckland and Sybil Leek were my first influences. They influenced my young and impressionable self with something that just felt "Right". A young man introduced me to Tarot when I was 15. The Tarot has been the most major influence in my Life, and my best teachers. I am still a student of the Tarot, and always will be. There is so much knowledge to be gained from the Path of the Fool, no one can possibly know it all in this lifetime.
Authors and/or Books I appreciate
Ray Buckland is an author that I will always appreciate, for sentimental reasons, if nothing else. Let's see... there is so much "fluff" out there. It's hard to pick out the influential ones. Ted Andrews, for his in depth study of the rest of the living kingdom. Kim Antieau, for her knowledge that she only lets slip a little at a time in her books.
Musicians and/or Music I appreciate
Leeann Sidhe, Melissa Etheridge, Led Zeppelin, Bob Segar, Jethro Tull, old country from the 50s through the 70s. Old time Rock and Roll. Pagan songs (We All Come From the Goddess, for example).
Films and/or Film-Makers & Actors I appreciate
That one is difficult. I'm not sure I can answer it. I don't watch many films.
