There is one simple exercise which I like to do on workshops: I ask participants to write kind wishes for themselves and others from the group. In most of the cases what usually happens is that people forget to write wishes for themselves, or they “leave them behind”, until the end of exercise and then write something quickly as possible without much thinking.

Before I started doing this exercise I thought that there are not many people how are being unkind and self-critical…

To have a mindful mind means to practice paying attention, being aware of your surroundings, feelings, moods, your body, different sensations you experience in the present moment without judging or analyzing it, just simply being aware of it here and now. 

There are times when our minds are full and not mindful, which means we are preoccupied with so many information, thoughts we have, which leads us to simply being unaware of everything…

My mom is doing better, even though she had to have ANOTHER surgery, and they screwed up they tracheotomy tube so that air went into her face and b!ew it up like a balloon. So I went to see my mom in the hospital today, she woke up a little and looked at me, I showed her some pictures of the kids; some were of Jakey's birthday party over Valentines and she got a little excited.
