Predators in the pagan, spirit worker, and magic communities
I’ve written several posts on abusive spirits and how to deal with them, and will continue to write such posts in the future. However, while writing these posts I’ve had to grapple with something: while predators may lurk in the spirit world, they also are abundant in the physical…

I found this on my Chronic Pain Hideaway Group.
What is a normal amount of sleep?
Different people need different amounts of sleep. Some people function well and are not tired during the day with just 3-4 hours' sleep a night. Most people need more than this. To need 6-9 hours per night is average. Most people establish a pattern that is normal for them in their early adult life. However, as you become older, it is normal to sleep less.…

Why Is Self-Respect More Reliable Than Self-Esteem? | The Gremlin/The Judge/The Inner-Voice | Self-Respect
There has been great focus on self-esteem in pop psychology. Unfortunately, as is often the case with popular buzz words the public grabs hold of, the understanding tends to be superficial. Self-esteem is not self-respect. We consider there to be very marked difference between the…

I was going to write a blog about my life. But, I've decided to do a series of blogs. This way, it won't be ten miles long.
About ten years ago, we found out that our son had been molesting our daughter. He had been doing this for some time, and we didn't have a clue. The only reason we found out, was my daughter wrote an essay in health, where she mentioned, she wished she could stop having sex with her brother.
To say our whole world collapsed, was an…

I went to pay my car insurance bill today. We were a bit behind, so I went in to pay one month. THEY WANTED OVER $300!! Now, this is State Farm and I've been with them for over twenty years. When we had one van, it was about $75. Then two years ago we added a second van and it went up to $110

Two blonde men find three grenades,
and they decide to take them to a police station.
One asked: "What if one explodes before we get there?"
The other says: "We'll lie and say we only found two."
------------------------------
A woman phoned her blonde neighbor man and said:
"Close your curtains the next time you and your wife have sex.
The whole street was watching and laughing at you yesterday."
To which the blonde man replied:
"Well the joke's on…

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on...
If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, 'Who's on First?' might have turned out something like this:

I would love to know why it should take over an hour, sometimes more to fill out an online job appy. 400 security questions, that is 10 questions, sometimes 15 asked lots of different ways. This last one I did didn't even take the time to rephrase.....just the same questions in different order.
And I doubt that anyone reads it all. At the most....it goes through a computer for percentages.
Now, shouldn't these questions come under the heading of "The Interview?" Is there no one…

My two gray cats are polar opposites and it drives me nuts. Saturn, who's 15, is elegant, quick-witted, moody, and desperately needs a hobby. He takes medicine for his hyperthyroidism, weighs eight pounds, and is an extremely picky eater. Mercury (who at 8 years old should be in his prime) is clumsy, chubby, easygoing, and, frankly, not that bright. He takes medicine for his asthma, weighs 22 pounds, and will eat anything that isn't nailed down. Temperamentally they are the complete…
