Hi folks, I'm just curious how people do dishes. (no dishasher)
Now, I know the correct way is to start with the least dirty and work through. For example, starting with the glasses, coffee and tea mugs, moving on to plates and silverware, and then pots and pans.
What I do is soak the silverware, and plates, then move on to the cups and glasses, wash the percolator and tea kettle, the microwave plate. I usually take this time to sanitize my counter, inside the microwave, and stove/oven/fridge.
Then I fill with new HOT water and do all plasticware and then pots and pans. I wipe down the hood of the stove(it's the wipe down that kills you!)
Then we have all the cats dishes and sanitizing the kitchen table.
After this I do a quick damp mop of the kitchen floor. Of course, this doesn't get into going through my fridge every day and putting things in smaller containers, restocking water, changing butter container......when my mom died I cleaned up her fridge, she had little dabs of things that should have been thrown out....but she couldn't. Maybe I've become obsessive, but I go through mine on a daily basis now.
Okay, no let me here what everyone else does!
