The island of emotions

Once upon a time there was paradise island where a village of feelings
lived. Happy, Sad, Fear and all the other feelings. They had a chief
named Wisdom, and he read signs that in the future their island was
going to sink below the sea, so he instructed his tribe to build boats
so they would survive and find a new home elsewhere. So they were all
building their boats, except for Love, she wanted to stay with the
island until it’s last moments.
And so the tides began rising up to her knees, and she saw that Anger
was passing by on a warship, she called out to him and asked if he could
ride in his boat, for she had not built her own, and Anger began to
curse at her threatening to shoot her if she came near his boat, and he
passed her by. Love then heard the sound of music and as she turned she
saw her friends Joy and Happy and Playful and Hyper having a party on a
cruise ship she waded toward them waving and shouting for them to pick
her up and give her a ride but they were so busy dancing and singing that
none of them heard Love and so, the boat went on without her as the
water had risen to her waist, it kept rising for a while until she saw
Sadness on a junk boat, the water had come up to her neck and she was
now begging him to stop and come get her, but Sadness said “I just wanna
be alone right now…” and left her.

And as the tides came and waves began rolling in one after another,
Love being tired from staying afloat for so long, that she began
drowning ! But then a Stranger on a rowboat came by and reached into the
water and pulled her aboard, and in that moment the boat’s sails
turned into wings and they carried Love and the Stranger in the
direction that the others were going. The next morning Love woke up and
she was with the other feelings on a new island, and she wondered what
had happened and who that Stranger was that saved her life, she went up
to chief Wisdom who in turn replied “That stranger who rescued you is a
hermit called Time” …. And Love answered “Time ? How do you know it was
Time if none of us ever see him ?” And Wisdom smiled and replied
“Because only Time remembers how important Love truly is”

Moral: Our hearts carry the weight of so many emotions, over time we
feel how loss may sink us down, because change is inevitable, Anger,
and Happiness and Sadness as well as all the others, need to listen to
Love better. Time flies when it’s with Love, but Love may encounter
trouble if it does not listen to Wisdom. If we follow our emotions under
the guide of wisdom, they will sail with us to the islands of destiny.
