The line and the circle

Once upon a time, on a sheet of paper, a line had fallen helplessly in
love with a circle. For it appeared to be whole and complete in its
seemingly perfect shape. But the circle had a crush on a scribble,
because it was so, reckless and free to look how it wanted, and it would
often make fun of the line for being so plain and ordinary looking.
The line began to feel shorter and shorter as the scribble would become
more noticeable one the page they were in. The line went home depressed.
How could it appear more fancy and artistic to the circle if it was
only a line among many others longer or shorter than it was ? It looked
at itself and decided that it was time for a change. And the moment it
decided that, it noticed that it suddenly bent into an angle.
It noticed that, the more it decided to change the more it would bend,
it was able to form itself into a triangle, and then a square with it’s
new shape it then formed a rectangle, and so it began experimenting with
changing patterns until it was able to form metric shapes like octagons,
arrows, pyramids and even complex spirographs which were all perfectly
symmetric. The line went back with the circle and as usual the scribble
started to mock the line. But the line was more confident now, because
it knew what it was capable of. So it drew itself into a star of 5
points, and the circle noticed quickly. The scribble then tried to
form itself into a star as well, but ended up looking more like an
explosion, not much different than usual. The line then made a more
complex shape which was a star of 10 points, which to it came easy, but
this was quite new to the circle, and she was drawn more to the line’s
new looks. The scribble could do nothing more than try to blot itself
around the circle. But it was no use, the line and the circle ordered
themselves together and became a symbol of love and change.

Moral : The object in our hearts is to feel as whole as a circle,
though we may seem so plane to everyone else and feel as lonely as a
single line. But we draw our own portrait in this canvass of a world.
And everyone seems to notice scribbly people, they seem to take more
space than would normally be needed. They can compliment a circle, but
when we decide to expand ourselves, and shape ideas and look deeper into
our patterns, we can form into beautiful and interesting people that
work well in groups (circles).
