To Look Inside

If you were able to look inside yourself...

what would you see?
Do you think you would like
what you see?
Do you see hurt and pain and anger...?
Do you see misery and hunger?
What would you like to see?
Would you like to see 'ME'?
Who is 'ME'?
Is 'me' the person you love
or the person you loathe?
Is your 'me' a case of
me, myself and I?
Or is your 'me' a part of the bigger whole?
I look inside me.
I am learning to like seeing 'me'.
I am learning to see colour and joy and Spirit.
I am learning to see love and peace and happiness.
I am learning to love 'me'.
I want to look inside and like what I see!
I want to look inside and see a greater part of the whole!
I want to look inside and see the expanse of all that
I am meant to be and to be a part,
of me!
