What is the world coming too, these days?  Read in the "Huff, Online Newspaper" today about a mom taking her 2 yr son and baby brother to Walmarts. It goes on about this is one of those rare times she goes there alone, cuz it takes so long to get the kids ready, going through tantrums and such.  Her 2 yr old son, has a habit of wearing her things, like girly things. (I, myself see no wrong in this).  He wanted to keep the pink head band on with the bright purple fuzzy ball on it, on his head while he went out. 

As they were walking around Walmart's, no one really said anything, until they gotten to the produce section, when two college girls started giggling and asked "is that a boy or girl?". Mother responded, "He is a boy!" .  The college girls kept giggling, Mom just continue on.  Then a man yells, "THAT'S a BOY?!".  The man was overly large with a bushy beard and a camouflage shirt with the arms cut off. He had tattered shorts and lace-up work boots with no laces. I could smell the fug of cigarette smoke surrounding him, and there was a definite pong of beer on him.

Mom: Simply said "Yes".

With no notice, the man stepped forward, grabbed the headband off of boy's head and threw it to the bottom of our shopping cart. He then cuffed the boy around the side of his head (not hard, but that is not the point) and said with a big laugh, "You'll thank me later, little man!"

Like a good mom, she stepped in between her son and the man, and said "TOUCH MY SON AGAIN, I WILL CUT OFF YOUR DAMN HANDS!!!".

This is the response she got from the man: The guy snarled at me, looked at the boy with disgust and said, "Your son is a f*cking fa***t." He then started sauntering out, but not before he threw over his shoulder, "He'll get shot for it one day."

Now I am thinking, what is the world coming too? More things change, the more they stay the same. I have a grown son (twin), who is openly gay now, but when he was 2 yrs old, he loved to get into my girl stuff and make up, and I didn't even think of anything then and still don't. He still raid my stuff, I just tell him now, if you borrow you must return it. With some exceptions lol. 

But we need a change in this world. But as a wise person told me once, "It isn't the world that needs changing, it is us that need changing." The change starts with us, one step at a time.
