One thing about the summer solstice and can apply equally to the winter one....it is a time for endings and new beginnings.  The group of ladies I meet with on Wednesdays for a meditation circle, had a major energy clearing this week. I asked them to do the following exercise to help the higher self deal with, and rid itself of, old issues/feelings.

I gave them all 2 sheets of paper and a pen.  On one sheet, I asked them all the things they feel are currently negative for them - be it feelings, issues, habits, concerns.  I then asked them to write on one side of the second sheet their blessings - things that are good right now and things to be grateful/thankful for.  On the reverse of the 'blessings' list, I asked them to write a wish list for the coming 6 moths - until the winter solstice.
One by one they shared one thing on each list they felt comfortable with.  As they did, other things surfaced for them.  Some laughed and some cried but it was all positive.

I then asked them to put away the blessings sheet until the solstice and with the negative sheet....I asked them to continue adding to it if they felt a need, and then to either burn it or bury it in the soil in the garden.  While doing this, saying to themselves they are letting it all go.

The energy in the room changed dramatically and the women supported eachother....and I have to say I feel truly blessed they feel safe enough with me, and each other, to trust me trying these things.
