I know what you mean - today I just HAD to change out all my public library account information because of that recent Yahoo DoS login prevention attack (that's Denial of Service, abbreviated DoS in networking) which occurred about a month or so after the Facebook account database cracking. It was rather elegantly simple how they did it - they probably set a bunch of webbot computers to generate a bunch of login attempts at Yahoo. It seems Yahoo! doesn't let anyone know about this on the login page, but waits until someone sends login info before they send back a login reset. Yahoo has the default setting on the login page to "keep me signed in", so a failed login attempt leaves the account logged in whether the device is still connected or not, which means a possible security risk. On previous occasions, it wasn't that vital for me and I was able to get logged in before TOO much time passed, but this last one was targeted at FB users via Yahoo. It could even be that they didn't like me sending their crack strategy online, so they did that to shut ME down. But I'm making work-arounds - I MAY have to make a new Yahoo! account, though.
