Something I've said many ways and many times, but I'll keep saying it, because there will always be people needing to hear it.
Compassion for the human animal, since most people love animals, like cats and/or dogs, I find it's a helpful analogy.
For instance if I say "I love dogs, unconditionally, passionately, I'm advocate for and… Continue

About four years ago a guy I went to grade school with set a truck in front of his house on fire and waited for the authorities to arrive. When they did he shot and killed a policeman. There was a standoff until he set his house on fire and then killed himself. Good people wondered "Why would somebody do that ?" as good people do when something like that happens. This poem is an attempt to answer that question although Trent Reznor did a pretty good job with the song "Burn". As hard as I try… Continue

As I sit here thinking I am brought into awareness of a thought. That we must never forget who we are.
That we should never live too focused in physicality and materialistic needs and desires that we forget that we are so much more than the reality that we perceive. That we should never live too focused in our energetic existence and spirituality that we… Continue

From the corner of her eye
She sees it.
A shadow, a movement
But not dark, not brooding.
This is full of light, full of stars!
She recognises him
Feels the love
In her heart
they once shared, time and again.
The Light like a mist,
Swirls and dances around her.
Love emanates from it.
Soothing and carressing her own soul.
She hears whispers
Like a breeze
telling of past loves, memories.
Always with her.
Always near… Continue

A gentle touch against my cheek Continue
Sends a shiver down my spine.
A breath, a whisper,
the lightest touch of lips.
His hand touches my hair
and falls onto my shoulder.
Is this really love?
Oh how you make my soul soar,
my spirit fly!
My heart races like drums of old
and the blood in my veins
flows like a torrent
around my body.
Is this really love?
You enter my being, my space.
I feel safe and secure with…

The dark all encompassing -
Never moving, never shifting.
It permeated every cell
She could feel the dark consume her
as flames consume dry wood.
She cried out - no sound.
She tried to move
but she was held still.
She looked at the images
flashing before her.
She recognised the faces
the things she saw
with a distant recognition.
She watched as one by… Continue

Somehow my original post got deleted, so this is a re-post, unfortunately I had to make it less detailed than the original. It's also going to be a lot less fluid and with more typos... lol. But there you have it. Same basic concepts getting conveyed.. it's essentially a copy of a letter I sent to a friend here.
There are dark elements here, yes. There are people who identify with what are traditionally thought of by many as 'evil' or 'negative' forces. People who identify as… Continue

If you've noticed a shift in my activity on the site, or are just getting a different vibe from me, you're not imagining it. Not unexpectedly to me, my health issues continue to slowly progress, and even though the changes are small, they add up.
My ability to read as much of what goes on on the site has been diminished, as has my ability to respond back. I'm still busy busy doing site related stuff happily all day long, but it's shifted to more of what I call 'mouse work' things I… Continue

To have hope in your heart
can conquer all negative thoughts.
To feel joy at the song of a bird
is to lighten your soul.
To hear a child’s laughter
is as musical as a brook.
To have love in your life
is the most magical gift of all.
To share with a stranger
your innermost dreams,
that dear friend is a miracle.
How many of us have experienced a 'miracle'? Many think they have to be a mind-blowing… Continue

"Out in the street and under the sun,
I kissed his feet and loaded his gun,
Sooner or later everyone does,
Everybody feeds the fat boy.''

She looked out of the window
into the blackness.
She was all alone
except for the wisps
that moved around her.
misting up the window,
creating little rivulets
trickling down the glass.
A wispy hand touched
the side of her face.
Cold. Lonely. Loving carresses.
An icy chill ran
down her spine.
How long had
she been alone?
It seemed all her life
but was she?… Continue

I close my eyes
to sleep, to dream. Continue
My room is dark and still.
The curtains open,
the stars twinkling
in the black velvet
of the sky.
My soul leaves and
flies up to meet them.
I feel so at home
here among the
I look down to see
my loved ones
dreaming thier dreams.
They are safe.
They are at peace.
I fly among the stars

Dedicated to my old neighbor Sam who had no fewer than 100 images of Elvis and Jesus in his two-room apartment. When I introduced myself he said, "If you ever hear yelling next door it's just me arguing with God."

Her head and heart could hear the call....a call to arms for all. Continue
She looked and watched and waited
as she saw them one by one gather.
The circle grew and the sky darkened
as the numbers grew and the energy flowed.
So fast did the energy rise that it forms
a vortex, a whirlwind around them
and above them.
The fire glowed bright in the…

A Cautionary Tale
Added by 2i3zz31iz74ww on July 19, 2011 at 11:51pm —
Do you think it is possible for time to stand still? Do you think it is possible to see beyond living things, to extend your senses? I’d like to show you my garden and you see if you can see it too.
As I sit on the bench, I can feel the wooden planks under me and feel the roughness of the ornate iron work. As I rub my hand over the roundness of the arm rest, my hand can feel the pitting of the rust that slowly over time, eats away at the metal. It creeps slowly,… Continue

Do you think it is possible to see the light in a very dark place? Do you think a scared child can find her way out of a scary place or situation? Have you ever been to a place that is so dark, so black, that you cannot see your hand in front of your face? I’m not on about a dark tunnel or a dark country lane but the kind of dark that can take you over. The kind that you can…

As my body changes from mother to crone, I am noticing other changes in me. Apart from the obvious ones we all know, I am also noticing that my sensitivity is increasing to energies around me. My empath abilities seem to be increasing also.
I find my brain tends to be off doing something more important as I laughingly say if I have my absent-minded moments...and yet, I am aware of it being busy elsewhere on other levels!
The whole irregular sleep pattern/insomnia is also… Continue
